Port Turning Circle Entrance Soundings   

Mariners are advised that, following recent strong Northerly storms, the accuracy and reliability of soundings at the Port Entrance are considered unreliable. These soundings were previously derived from the Hydrographic Survey of October 25.

Vessels with a deep draught, specifically those drawing over 3.0 meters, should navigate the Port Entrance with particular caution, especially during periods of Low Water.

To address this, the Port Authority is arranging an updated hydrographic survey for the affected area. Furthermore, dredging operations are being scheduled for both the Harbour and the Port Entrance to restore and maintain advertised depths.

Further Notice will be issued when the new survey data is available and when dredging operations are due to commence.
